What records graced your turntable back then and inspired you? Ferry-- Well, it wasn’t really my father’s music. It was his turntable that I was trying to wreck. (Laughs.) I started buying the early electronic hip hop and electronic like Afrika Bambaataa and stuff like that back in the day so that’s basically the first music that I started buying at the age of 10 or 11, I think. I didn’t have any equipment yet so I used his turntables and yeah, with the result was a lot of broken needles. |
